Data Index is located near Seattle, WA. We are a manufacturer of ISBN,
UPC and other bar code film masters and data files, bar code labels, blank
and custom direct thermal and thermal transfer labels, and custom flexographic
labels. We also sell and distribute bar code printers, thermal transfer
ribbons, bar code verification equipment, wands, wedges, scanners, label
generation software and bar code generation software. Also available are
Automated Data Collection and Point of Sale Systems, bar code verification
and consulting services for automatic identification, and computer aided
design and manufacturing.
Bar code film masters and bar code data files are produced the same day
we receive the order, and each master is verified before shipping. All
orders received before Noon Pacific time are shipped the same day.
When ordering a film master we will need to know the following: what type
of printing does your print shop use (Lithography, Flexography, etc); does
your printer require a film negative, film positive, PMT paper positive
or both; does the film need to be right-reading emulsion up or right-reading
emulsion down; if you require an .EPS or .WMF data file we will need to
know the dpi of the final imagesetter output (2400 DPI min).
There are numerous bar code languages: UPC-A, UPC-E, Bookland EAN, ISBN,
EAN-8, EAN-13, Code 39, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5 and others. Check out
